| 2445 Monroe Street | Founded in 1901, the Toledo Museum of Art is the pièce de résistance of art and culture in the Toledo area.  Although the TMA has earned a global reputation for the quality of its collection and education programs, it should also be recognized as a best practice for how a cultural institution should engage its community and serve as a case study for exploring the impact of community philanthropy.

TMA features more than 30,000 works of art, including American and European paintings, the history of art in glass, ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian works, Asian and African art, medieval art, sculpture, decorative arts, graphic arts, and modern and contemporary art.
