| East River Road Between Perrysburg and Rossford | From 1922 to 1930 nearly a dozen mansions were built on the southern banks of the Maumee with names such as "Stonecroft", "The Terraces", "Woodgate", "Greystone", and "Belle Alliance".  Many were built as the year-round replacements for the families' smaller shingle-style summer homes built around the turn of the 20th century. The families who built the summer houses and estates along River Road often first made their homes in Toledo's Old West End.
